OBVERSE OF JEWEL Another very nice example of a fret cut Past Master's Jewel from McCammon Lodge. The Jewel is suspended from two 9ct gold bars and a sky blue ribbon.
The top bar has the inscription "McCammon Masonic Lodge No. 221" ,
and the bottom, "Bro. J. Thompson W.M. 1950". The difference between this Jewel and the 1938 Jewel is that the top and bottom bar have shamrocks on either end .
The Jewel itself is made of a silver Compass, Square and letter "G" mounted on a 9ct gold disc, the circumference of which bears the legend "McCammon Masonic Lodge 221"
A Coat of Arms is centred on the ribbon which consists of a Lion Rampant on a shield with another Lion Rampant on top thereof. Below the SPast Master's susshield is the Motto "Re e Merito" ( "This throught merit").
REVERSE OF JEWEL The reverse of the Jewel bears the inscription : "Presented to W.Bro. John Thompson 1950"
The Maker's Mark on the reverse of Jewel is "SG" and there is a stamp "9ct."
