WHAT'S NEW ?

This section will be used to post new additions or changes to the web site.

This will enable regular visitors to the web site to look at this section and see at a glance "what's new" and what changes have taken place - the changes will be shown by reference to a date with a short description of what has taken place.

25th August 2009 :-

"Grand Lodge ~ a History" - has been given it's own section by way of a general introduction to Irish Freemasonry.

on the same date I made the following additions to the content of this section :-

1. Adding PDF copies of newspaper articles from 1725 relating to the first recorded meeting of Grand Lodge and the Installation the Grand master, the 1st Earl of Rosse - in particular the Dublin Weekly Journal of the June 26th 1725.

2. Adding pictures and additional Links regarding "The Baal's Bridge Square".

29th August 2009 :-

Three new sections added namely [IRISH MASONIC BOOKS],[LINKS] and [WHAT'S NEW ?]

The Book "The Irish Master Masons Hand Book" published in 1895 has been added to the "Irish Masonic Books" Section.

 8th September 2009 :-

The Book "Notes on Laurence Dermott and His Work" published in 1884 has been added to the "Irish Masonic Books" Section.

19th September 2009 :-

"Grand Lodge - A History" ~ I have revamped the beginning of the section to more comprehensively cover freemasonry prior to the formation of Grand Lodge in 1725. I have included sub-sections on "The Baal's Bridge Square", "The trinity Tripos 1688" (with two PDF documents), "The Trinity MS. 1711" and "The Lady Freemason".

2oth September 2009 :-

I have added to "Grand Lodge - A History" a fascinating and comprehensive history of Freemason's Hall, "Freemason's Hall ~ A history", by W.Bro. Tony Browne Past Acting Master of the R.W. the Grand Master's Lodge,which runs to more than 100 pages and contains unique information, photographs and plans relating to the construction of the Hall.

18th October 2009 :-

I have added to "Papers & Articles" and the web page relating to "Prince of Wales Lodge No. 222" a Paper entitled "My Vision for the Future" By M.W. Bro. Eric N. Waller  ~ A Paper presented at a Series of Talks on ‘Irish Freemasonry in the New Millennium’ held in the Provincial Grand Lodge of Antrim Masonic Hall, Belfast on Saturday 30th October 2004.]

18th October 2009 :-

I have added to "Irish Masonic Books" a Booklet entitled "Freemasonry in Society Today and Tomorrow" By R.W. Bro. Michael W. Walker.

I have added to "Papers & Articles" a Paper entitled "R.W. Bro. Michael Walker - Valedictory  Address" ~ An Address given by R.W.Bro. Michael W. Walker, then Grand Secretary, at the Quarterly Stated Communication of the United Grand Lodge of England, held on Wednesday 9th March, 2005, in Freemasons' Hall, Great Queen Street, London, on the Ocassion of his last Official  Function.

26th October 2009 :-

"Grand Lodge - A History" ~ I have revamped the page, yet again !, to make it easier to link to various sections on page.

26th October 2009 :-

I have added to "Papers & Articles" a Paper entitled "Freemasonry in Meath and Westmeath" By Larry Conlon ~ A most comprehensive paper on the History of Freemasonry in Meath and Westmeath.

 31st October 2009 :-

I have added to "Papers & Articles" a Paper entitled "The Story of the Lost Archives of the Grand Lodge of Ireland" By W.Bro. W.J. Chetwode Crawley, LL.D., D.C.L., Grand Treasurer, Grand Lodge of Ireland.

15th November 2009 :-

I have added to "Papers & Articles" a Paper entitled "Irish Freemasonry in Tasmania" By W.Bro. Tony Pope, Editor of the Australian & New Zealand Masonic Research Council’s Publications.

6th December 2009 :-

I have added five Papers to "Papers & Articles" entitled "The Hon. Miss St. Leger and Freemasonry" By Bro. Edward Conder, "Supplementary Note on The Lady Freemason", "Three Lost Lodges" and "The Story of the Lost Archives of the Grand Lodge of Ireland" all by Bro. W.J. Chetwode Crawley and "Notes on Freemasonry in Cork City" By Bro. Thomas Johnson Westropp, FRSAI. These articles are very interesting and worth a viewing.
